ALI HASSAN JOHO picks “HAZEL KOITABA” to head the County’s Finance Department.

Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, on Thursday appointed, Ms Hazel Koitaba, to hold the position of the County’s Finance Executive.

This is after Joho dismissed the long serving County Finance Head, Mr Walid Khalid, who was impeached by Mombasa County Assembly on Wednesday.
“I have dismissed Mr Walid from the finance docket following his impeachment by the County Assembly in accordance with section 40 (6b) of the County Government Act,” Joho said.
“I have appointed Ms Koitaba on acting capacity to head the Finance Department with immediate effect,” Joho added.

The former Youth Executive said she had what it takes to transform the Finance Department since she has a Business Administration degree from an Australian University.
“I am qualified for the position. I will do what I can do to ensure that the County’s funds are managed well for the benefit of Mombasa residents,” Koitaba said.
